🐸 Boriquiz — Privacy Policy

Boriquiz is a Puerto Rican trivia game available on the web and Android. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What we collect

• Google account info (name, email, profile picture) — only if you sign in with Google. Used to create your player profile and display your name on the leaderboard.
• Display name — a custom name you choose inside the app.
• Game stats — scores, streaks, achievements, coins, and games played. Stored in your player profile.
• Question reports — if you report a question, we store the question text, your reason, and your user ID.

If you play as a guest, no data is stored on our servers — everything is saved locally on your device only.

How we use your data

• To save and restore your game progress across devices.
• To display your name and streak on the global leaderboard.
• To review reports of inaccurate or offensive questions.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services

We use Firebase (Google) for authentication, data storage, and app hosting. Firebase's own privacy policy governs how Google processes that data.

Data retention and deletion

Your profile data is stored in Firebase Firestore and kept as long as your account exists. To request deletion of your data, email us at support@boriquiz.com with the subject line "Delete my data". We will remove your account data within 30 days.

Children

Boriquiz is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at the email above and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
